Semantic wiki - wiki with difference

While surfing through net [ with the help google] to understand the usage of semantics in collaboration world - buzzword for Web 2.0, I found a relatively new concept called semantic wiki. Even if the UI is not so appealing to me but it clearly indicates how semantics can play a significant role with Web 2.0 in oline collaboration and knowledge sharing.

I acknowledge his idea that semantic technologies are not first which solving the problem of data definition, integration etc. but just another clearer or better way of doing it.

I am specially interested to know how industry is encouraging and embracing the semantic technologies, which is till now confined in the research laboratories and lecture halls, to provide more real business solutions.
